This document is a practical starting point, not legal advice. FieLink must insert its registered business details and obtain review from a qualified Ghanaian lawyer before public launch.
1. Who controls your information
The final version must identify FieLink’s registered legal entity, Ghana business address and data protection contact. FieLink intends to process personal data in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
2. Information FieLink collects
- Account identity supplied through the sign-in service, including user ID, email and optional display name.
- Owner details, property descriptions, prices, locations, photographs and verification records.
- Enquiry details including name, email, telephone number and message.
- Safety reports including reporter email, reason and details.
- Technical and security information reasonably needed to operate and protect the service.
- Saved-property choices stored on the user’s device.
3. Why information is used
Information is used to provide accounts and dashboards, publish and moderate listings, connect enquirers with the relevant owner, investigate reports, prevent abuse, protect users, improve the service, keep required records and comply with lawful obligations.
4. Sharing
Enquiry information is shared with the relevant property owner or authorised representative and authorised FieLink administrators. Information may also be processed by hosting and technical service providers acting for FieLink, or disclosed where required by law, legal process or a genuine safety need. FieLink does not sell personal data.
5. Retention
Information will be kept only as long as necessary for its stated purpose, safety, dispute handling and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised. Before launch, FieLink must approve and publish a detailed retention schedule for each record category.
6. Security and international processing
FieLink will use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. Some service providers may process data outside Ghana; the final notice must identify relevant transfer safeguards after the production providers are confirmed.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable Ghanaian law, individuals may request information about processing and seek access, correction, objection or other available remedies. Requests will require suitable identity confirmation. The final version must provide FieLink’s request channel and explain the right to complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
8. Children
FieLink is not intended for children to advertise or transact in property. The final age threshold and parental-consent procedure must be confirmed by legal counsel.
